Asylum Support Fundraiser Bistro 

Please join us on Friday 29th March 2019 from 20.00 at the Rainbow Junktion Cafe, All Hallows Church, 24 Regent Terrace, Leeds, LS6 1NP.The Rainbow Junktion Community Cafe will be hosting our 2nd fundraising dinner to support people seeking asylum.

We’ll be serving up a delicious 3-course vegan meal and an evening of entertainment, including compering from Leeds finest feminist comedian, Rosie Dent-Spargo and live music.

Tickets costs £15 [£10 unwaged/students]. A number of free places have also been reserved for local people seeking asylum from the event. Your money will go far, to very good causes. All proceeds will be split between Migrant Offshore Aid (approx 35%) Harmony choir (35%) to support their choir members seeking asylum), the church venue (15%; leaky roof) and the cafe (15%; which supports the Hyde Park community including people seeking asylum and cooks up delicious food waste).

Dessert will be served before 22.00, so if you need to dash off don’t worry, but you can also stick around to enjoy the night. The profits from the bar will also go to the fundraiser, but if you prefer you can BYOB.

This is a CASH ONLY event, so don’t forget to bring money on the night. (nearest cash machine is a 10 minute walk).

We will use this to stock the bar, with all money made from drink sales + anything extra being redirected back into the fundraiser. Rainbow Junktion is a community cafe that intercepts food that would otherwise go to waste from supermarkets, restaurants and a number of other sources, and turns it into healthy, nutritious meals for anyone and everyone on a pay-as-you-feel donation basis. Fundraising Dinner in Support of Asylum Seekers

Please join us on Sunday 9th Dec from 18.30, when the Rainbow Junktion Community Cafe will be hosting a solidarity dinner to raise money for asylum seekers, with support from local choirs, Harmony and Gay Abandon.

The event will include a 3 course vegan meal as well as an evening of entertainment, including stand up from Leeds finest comedian and compere extraordinaire, Rosie Dent-Spargo, the musical stylings of Crake’s Rowan Sandle, as well as a few numbers from the Harmony choir themselves.

There will be a raffle towards the end of the night with prizes inc. match day tickets for Bradford FC, vouchers for Go Karting, Laser Quest, Bramley Baths & Jump Inc. Trampoline Park. We have cinema tickets, sweets hampers, meals for two at some of the best restaurants in the city, & beautiful creations from artists, both local & further afield.

Dessert will be served before 21:30, so if you need to dash off don’t worry, but you can also stick around to enjoy the entertainment.

There will be a bar to buy alcohol (beer, red & white wine; from which the profits will go to the fundraiser), and/ or BYOB.

The event requires a suggested donation of £15 for the food and entertainment on the night (£10 unwaged & students). A number of free places have also been reserved for asylum seekers.

The event is cash only and the nearest cash machine is a 10 min or so walk so don’t forget to bring money on the night.

All profits from the event will go towards supporting asylum seekers in our community and will be divided between the Harmony choir and a national asylum charity to support the wonderful work they both do.
