Please join us on Sunday 9th Dec from 18.30, when the Rainbow Junktion Community Cafe will be hosting a solidarity dinner to raise money for asylum seekers, with support from local choirs, Harmony and Gay Abandon.
The event will include a 3 course vegan meal as well as an evening of entertainment, including stand up from Leeds finest comedian and compere extraordinaire, Rosie Dent-Spargo, the musical stylings of Crake’s Rowan Sandle, as well as a few numbers from the Harmony choir themselves.
There will be a raffle towards the end of the night with prizes inc. match day tickets for Bradford FC, vouchers for Go Karting, Laser Quest, Bramley Baths & Jump Inc. Trampoline Park. We have cinema tickets, sweets hampers, meals for two at some of the best restaurants in the city, & beautiful creations from artists, both local & further afield.
Dessert will be served before 21:30, so if you need to dash off don’t worry, but you can also stick around to enjoy the entertainment.
There will be a bar to buy alcohol (beer, red & white wine; from which the profits will go to the fundraiser), and/ or BYOB.
The event requires a suggested donation of £15 for the food and entertainment on the night (£10 unwaged & students). A number of free places have also been reserved for asylum seekers.
The event is cash only and the nearest cash machine is a 10 min or so walk so don’t forget to bring money on the night.
All profits from the event will go towards supporting asylum seekers in our community and will be divided between the Harmony choir and a national asylum charity to support the wonderful work they both do.
This event is open to everyone so please share with your friends and encourage them to come along.

For those cannot attend but would like to support:
Please consider donating to the raffle, all proceeds of which will go to the fundraiser. Suggested items are alcohol, confectionery, home decor etc, but anything will be very gratefully received. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have anything you would like to donate.
You can also donate money directly to the fundraiser by sending any amount through Paypal. We will use this to stock the bar, with all money made from drink sales + anything extra being redirected back into the fundraiser. Please send these donations to email@example.com with a clear description, such as ‘Asylum Fundraiser’.
Thank you so much for any support you are able to give – it is very much appreciated.
